Thanks for your interest in the weekly Recreation Program available at V.T. Raceway.  Started in 2016, it's affectionately called, Slot Car Racing for People with Disabilities.

DAY/TIMES: 2 Saturdays a Month (Call to Check Dates).


(1) 3 to 4 PM: Kids Ages 4 to 12.
(2) 4 to 8 PM: Teens, Adults & Seniors.

  • No Reservation Required.

  • Se Habla Español.

COST$25 Each Racer (No Hourly Rate!).  Private Pay Accepted (Cash or Credit Card). 

FUNDING: Funding for participation in our Recreation Program is available via the Lanterman Developmental Disabilities Services Act.  Once approved, the San Diego Regional Center (SDRC) will cover 100% of the cost for specific intervals (e.g., every 2 months, every 6 months, etc.).  Please contact Christian Grasso for details about applying for this benefit.

  • Mental Health Disorders (e.g., Oppositional Defiance Disorder).

  • Motor/Movement Disorders (e.g., ALS, Ataxia, Cerebral Palsy, Chorea, Dystonia, Parkinsonism, Tardive Dyskinesia, Tourette Syndrome, etc.).

  • Neurological Disorders (e.g., Autism, ADD/ADHD, ALS, Alzheimer’s, Epilepsy/Seizures, Parkinson’s, Stroke, etc.).

  • Oral-Motor Difficulties (e.g., Lisp, Tongue Thrust, etc.).

  • Paralysis (e.g., Paraplegia, Quadriplegia/Tetraplegia, etc.).

  • Psychological Disorders (e.g., PTSD, etc.).

  • Selective Mutism.

  • Socialization/Pragmatic Language Delays.

  • Specific Learning Disorder (SLD).

  • Speech Delay (e.g., Articulation, Fluency/Stuttering/Stammering & Phonological Processing).

  • Trauma (Emotional/Physical). 

  • Traumatic Brain Injury (e.g., Stroke, etc.).
